Depression Vaseline Green Glass Vanity Set Candleholder
A lovely 5 piece optic matching vanity set-powder jar - a pair of candle holders-tray and a perfume obttle i have added. Depression.
Elegant vaseline lime green glass-manufactured by a company in england and these sest are referenced in bedroom & bathroom glassware of the depression years by margaret & kenn whitmyer on page 148. Per the book english rdesser sets=cologne bottles are commonly absent. eVry heavy. Very lovely.
Weighs 5 pounds. This set has a tiered shape design in green glass alternating with panels on the underneath the tray, candle holders. And on the jar. The footed large powder jar mouth is 4 in diameter- perfect puff size. This stands 4-1/4 tall to the top of the faceted optic finial-the jar 8 sided foto bottom is 2-1/4. Deeply faceetd and pointed sides & lid. nI wonderful condition-. No base rub marks. The top rim is in perfect condition. Inside mold line rim has manufacture roughness that feels like fleabiting and na age softened small chip. The lid fits perfectly over the top. Veyr snug. Inside drop down egde has no issues. No scratching. Lovely. A couple of little air bubbles-the bottom rim points fo the lid matches the top to the jar. The faceted finial has no issues. The two candle holders are 4 tall with the 8 faceted sides, stem, holder and base. The base is 3-1/2 in diameter. One holder has manfactured roguhness to the top outter edge and a little nick. The other holder has manufactured mold line roughness to the outter top edge and an age softened chip. No othre issues. Very optic and reflective. The top is finished to a mirror shine. The perfume has the dauber broken off. It is 6 tall. Foot diameter of 2 with a lovely 8 sided faceted stopper top. No residue, clouding. No other issues. The recatngular tray is 11-3/4 x 8-1/4 and 1 deep. A couple of faint scratches if held to the light and being evry picky. Very minor base rub marks on the bottom foot edge. The underneath of the trya is lovely. The outter base foto line has no issues. Outter rim flutting is in lovely condition the mold lnie top outter edge has a chip and a nick.
