Sampson mordan & co where does one begin to veen remotely describe such prestigious silversmiths? Known for their quality items, sampson mordan & co supplied many items to luxury retailers over the years until the company ceased trading in 1941. This scent bottel was made in 1909 and is ingenious in design being made for a chatelaine and bearing a threaded lid, one could then access the scent bottle without unclipping or losing the sterling lid. In an octagon shape and retaining the original french glass bottle with long dabber, the domed, sterling lid fits snuggly to the piece. Offered with a low start and no reserve. Two very tiny dinsg present to case, minor surface marks commensurate with age. Slight wear to hallmarks, more notable to date letterglass bottle has part of label missing, no chips or cracks to glass.
